Daimler AG will decide the fate of Maybach by July 1. The two options: Kill the slow-selling superluxury sedan or partner with British carmaker Aston Martin on a second-generation car. The 2014 Michelin Challenge Design judging panel has selected the top three entries of its ‘Driven/Undriven' contest after an intense two-day session at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. On the first day, the jurors discussed each individual submission before whittling them down to just 15 finalists. Their work will be presented at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit in January 2014 as part of the Michelin Challenge Design exhibit.
Ford product gurus are hard at work flogging prototypes of the 2012 Focus ST on challenging roads around the world in preparation of the hot hatch's launch next year. The car debuted in concept guise at the Paris motor show and is the halo of the new Ford Focus lineup, packing 246 hp from a turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost engine paired with a six-speed manual. Ford released shots of the Focus ST in light camouflage today as it tries to build momentum for the sporty addition to its small-car lineup.
